Join us for  the Student Art Exhibition 2024 Reception & Awards Celebration

The annual Student Art Exhibition highlights the work of students and faculty over the past academic year. An independent juror is invited by the Gallery to select the artwork for the exhibition and awards. This year’s exhibition juror was Adero Willard, Ceramics Professor at Sacramento State University.

Seven Portfolio Awards for $200 will be presented to Studio and Media Arts students in ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic arts, printmaking and photography, and are sponsored by the Frank W. Clancy Memorial Fund. In addition, the Gallery Foundation will also present five $100 merit awards. Delta College President, Dr. Lawrenson will present an award of their choice. The LH Horton Jr Gallery is a premier exhibition space and a program of the Art Department within the Arts, Humanities, and Multimedia TrAC. The primary mission of the Gallery is to support Student Learning Outcomes in the visual arts curriculum by building knowledge within the aesthetic, technical, cultural and historical context of the visual arts. The Gallery offers exhibition opportunities to local, regional, and national artists, lenders and guest curators.
