In the digital age, it's more important than ever to communicate clearly with our neighbors and with people all around the world. In fact, employers consistently stress the importance of verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate across cultures. The Communication and Languages TrAC at Delta College offers transfer degrees in communication studies, English, Spanish, and sign language. Expand your worldview with courses in French, Italian, German, Japanese, and English as a Second Language.

  • Congratulations to San Joaquin Delta College's Speech and Debate Team traveled to San Francisco to compete in SFSU's Golden Gate Opener on Oct 1, 2022  for the first in-person tournament since 2020! Twenty-three college programs were in attendance, ranging from California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, and Texas. Please join us in congratulating the following students:

    • Caden Gilbert: won Gold in Novice IPDA debate
    • Benjamin Brogger won Top Novice IPDA Speaker
