In the digital age, it's more important than ever to communicate clearly with our neighbors and with people all around the world. In fact, employers consistently stress the importance of verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate across cultures. The Communication and Languages TrAC at Delta College offers transfer degrees in communication studies, English, Spanish, and sign language. Expand your worldview with courses in French, Italian, German, Japanese, and English as a Second Language.

English 62D - Indigenous American Literature. Course Code: 71147. (12 Week Course: Sept. 25 - Dec. 15 - Fully Online), Instructor: Professor Jose, CSU, UC Transferable
Works by Indigenous authors: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, myths, legends and its relationship to social issues and identity politics.

English 62C - Asian American Literature. Course Code: 71144. (15 Week Course: Sept. 4 - Dec. 15 - Fully Online)  Instructor: Dr. Pamela Pan, CSU, UC Transferable
You will read, discuss, and write about short stories, essays, novels, memoirs, and poems  by Asian American authors such as Amy Tan, Maxine Hong Kingston (a Stockton native), Ken Liu, Carlos Bulosan, Loung Ung, Wakako Yamauchi, Jhumpa Lahiri, Cathy Park Hong, Ocean Vuong, Li-Young Lee, Mitsuye Yamada, and many others. The materials are eye-opening, thought provoking, and will resonate with you on many levels.
