A veteran of the private sector and education, I am now embarking on my stated goal of completing a BFA, a lifelong goal. In the distant past, I studied photography under Alan Beymer at Merced College and drawing at San Joaquin Delta College under Bill Williams.  Most recently, I have taken classes at San Joaquin Delta in painting, ceramics and design. Despite a lifetime of experience and general art appreciation, I am just starting my journey in formal art education.  With each passing semester, I realize how little I know and how far there is to grow in skill development, in appreciation of the various wide arts avenues and in learning the history of art in mankind’s development.  In this early stage of my art education, I find I do best following my professors’ guidelines and guidance and am very appreciative of their talent, experience and dedication.  Every class and every assignment is an adventure and an opportunity.  I am discovering new materials and insights with every endeavor and look forward to more exciting discovery as I explore, progress and learn.
