I am an art major with a concentration in studio art, and I plan on transferring to Sacramento State University this Fall. It’s been a long road to get here. Just last Spring I transferred from Delta with a major in Business Administration. Through several months of contemplation, I decided to come back to Delta to pursue art instead. This decision took a lot of courage, but I’m very glad I did it.

For now, I plan to create and practice as much as I can and learn more about art and art history. I like drawing, painting, and ceramics. I am also interested in printmaking, jewelry making, digital art, mural art, and tattooing. Later in the future, I am also interested in art restoration and teaching as a professor. The art that I submitted for this show includes a cup for my sister and a bowl for my parents. The cup was inspired by a design I thought my sister would like. The bowl was inspired by my ethnicities, being Korean and Guamanian. The bowl has a combination of the Korean and Guamanian flag, as well as Korean and Guamanian symbols.

Anyways, I’m glad to be a part of the show! It was always on my bucket list to have my art in an art gallery. I’m so grateful for everything, for all the opportunities, and for everyone who has encouraged or helped me in any way. I wish everyone luck in this art show!
