Delta College Policies and Information

Know Your Rights

Delta College has established procedures for employees to follow in the event immigration agents come to campus. These steps are:

  • Ask the person’s name and organization.
  • Escort them to the Office of the Superintendent/President in Admin 103.
  • Stay calm and be professional.
  • Do not physically interfere.
  • Explain that state law and College policies do not allow you to share information about students.
  • Once you have escorted an officer to the President’s Office, contact the District Police Department at (209) 954-5000.

IF THE PRESIDENT IS NOT AVAILABLE, ESCORT THE OFFICER TO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS:

  • Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Instruction, Admin 102, (209) 954-5151, ext: 5047
  • Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Student Services, Admin 107, (209) 954-5151, ext: 5632
