Academic Progress Report

The Academic Progress Report in MyDelta allows you to track progress toward your degree, see outstanding requirements and find classes that that will satisfy those requirements.

How to View Your Academic Progress

  1. Log in to MyDelta
  2. Academic progressFrom your MyDelta homepage, look for the Academic Progress box. This will include a graph that displays a summary of your current progress towards completing your degree at Delta College.
  3. Click on the Academic Progress. This will open your Academic Progress Summary, which displays the same graph of your current progress towards your degree based on Units.
  4. To view more details about your Academic Progress, click on the Academic Progress link from the left sidebar. This will open your Academic Progress Report.

 

Understanding Your Academic Progress Report

Once you click on Academic Progress from the left sidebar, you will see an Academic Progress Report, based on your most current course data. The progress report is divided into sections, though the sections you see will vary depending on your major, program and plan.

Under each section, you will see:

  • Requirements for satisfying the section
  • Your status regarding this requirement (Satisfied or Not Satisfied)
  • Units (or Courses) Required
  • Units (or Courses) Taken
  • Units (or Courses) Needed

Use the resources below to better understand different sections of the report.

Undergraduate Career 

This section displays your progress towards completing the necessary units required for transferring to a CSU and UC school. Additionally, you will see your Transferable GPA - which is your GPA calculated using all your transfer units attempted.

  • Click on any row to view of list of the courses that were used to satisfy the requirements.

Undergrad Career

Overall Requirements for Graduation

The Overall Requirements for Graduation section displays information about your progress towards satisfying the general requirements for Graduation from Delta College. 

Click on any row to view:

  • The Status of the Requirement (Satisfied or Not Satisfied)
  • The number of units required, taken and still needed.
  • A list of the courses that you took to satisfy the requirement

General Education Pattern

The General Education (GE) Pattern will display your progress towards completing your General Education Requirements. You will see one of the following GE Patterns:

  • CSU General Education Pattern: Required if you are transferring to a CSU
  • IGETC: Required if you are transferring to a UC
  • Delta General Education Pattern: If you are only planning on earning an AS or AA Degree

The GE Pattern you see will be based on the information you provided when you applied to Delta and/or the academic goals you have set with your counselor. If your goals have changed and/or you do not have the correct GE Pattern, please contact your Counselor.

Click on any row under the GE Pattern to see:

  • The Status of the Requirement (Satisfied or Not Satisfied)
  • The minimum grade you must earn for a course to satisfy the requirement.
  • The number of units required, taken and still needed.
  • A list of course(s) you may take to satisfy the requirement
    • Click on the course to see additional course details, add the course to your planner and/or view the current schedule of classes for the course (if available).

GE Pattern

Major/Program

The final section of the report displays your progress towards the requirements for your degree and/or Certificate at Delta College. 

  • The heading of the section will be the name of the degree you are working towards as well as the catalog year you are following (which determines which requirements you must meet)
  • Underneath the heading, you will see a row for each requirement of the program

Click on any row to view:

  • The Status of the Requirement (Satisfied or Not Satisfied)
  • The minimum grade you must earn for a course to satisfy the requirement
  • The number of units required, taken and still needed.
  • A list of course(s) you may take to satisfy the requirement
    • Click on the course to see additional course details, add the course to your planner and/or view the current schedule of classes for the course (if available).

Find Classes that Satisfy Your Requirements

From the Academic Progress, you can find courses that satisfy the requirement, add the course to your planner, view currently scheduled classes for the course and enroll in the class (only during enrollment periods).

  1. From the Academic Progress Report, click on on one your Not Satisified requirements.Click anywehre in the row of the requirement
  2. Under Courses you will see a list of courses that may be used to satisfy this requirement.
  3. Click anywhere in the row of a course you want to learn more about and/or take
