Middle College LogoMiddle College High School (MCHS), established in 2000, is a partnership between Lodi Unified School District and San Joaquin Delta College. Located on the Delta campus, the school serves approximately 360 students in grades nine through twelve and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Over the years, it has earned multiple honors, including recognition as a California Distinguished School (2007, 2011, and 2019) and a National Blue Ribbon School (2008 and 2015). The school’s mission is to create an academically rigorous yet supportive environment, designed especially for students who may face challenges in a traditional high school setting, while providing direct access to college-level opportunities.

MCHS emphasizes preparing students for success in both academic and career paths by nurturing independence, motivation, and personal growth. With a strong commitment from both Lodi Unified School District and Delta College, students are encouraged to explore diverse academic disciplines, identify their talents, and benefit from the combined resources of high school and college faculty, staff, and community partnerships. The program particularly encourages applications from students who demonstrate academic potential but may face barriers such as being the first in their family to attend college, coming from low-income households, or being underserved in higher education. Admission criteria include average or above test scores, a GPA that reflects potential for growth, maturity, and a strong commitment to education.
