Logo

The Business and Entrepreneurship Regional Director serves as a regional liaison between the community colleges in the Central Valley / Mother Lode Region, which includes Delta College, and local businesses, to develop and manage relationships with employers and other industry partners. Through these relationships, we seek to improve and expand business and entrepreneurial curriculum throughout the region to deliver a job-ready workforce and entrepreneurial leaders to ensure California’s economic growth and global competitiveness.

A primary goal of the California Community College Business and Entrepreneurship Sector is to ensure that students not only receive the technical skills they need to succeed in their chosen field of study or discipline, but also the business and entrepreneurship skills for them to become future entrepreneurial leaders.

The Community Colleges...

  • Recognize that businesses are asking for new-hire soft skills training
  • Understand that the entrepreneurial mindset is a critical component of soft skills
  • Support the infusion of entrepreneurial skills for students across all programs
  • Provide real-world experiential learning to reinforce technical and soft skills training
