The Delta College Board of Trustees this week unanimously approved a resolution decrying violence against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. It reads, in part:

"The Board of Trustees of the San Joaquin Delta Community College District vehemently denounces the violence against Asian American and Pacific Islanders and wishes to affirm its commitment to the well-being and safety of Asian American and Pacific Islander students and community members and ensure they know they are not alone and that they can speak out to help stop the spread of bigotry."

The resolution also officially recognizes the month of May as Asian American History Month.
