The DARTE program aims to help returning adults at Delta College
Delta to offer support for returning adult students
July 19, 2021

Looking for a fresh start?

Here's a chance to land on your feet and start a new career through Delta College's new DARTE program (Directing Adults on the Right TrAC for Employment).

Thousands of working adults come to Delta each year looking to make a change. DARTE is a set of classes and support services known as a "learning community" that can give some of these students even more assistance along the way.

Specifically, the program allows students who are in the process of earning their high school diplomas at an adult school to finish transfer-level math and English college courses at the same time. But DARTE is also open to any other returning adult who simply wants to finish a certificate or degree, or transfer to a four-year college.

Students will benefit from a dedicated counselor and instructors through the DARTE learning community. They'll work with students closely to help them reach their goals.

DARTE students will also benefit from free laptops, free textbooks and free tuition or other forms of financial aid.

Classes start Aug. 23, so don't delay! For details, email Dr. Heather Maloy, program manager of the Delta Sierra Adult Education Alliance program, at Heather.Maloy@deltacollege.edu
