Thank you, voters!

In November 2024, voters approved an historic $598 million bond measure to improve Delta College facilities and benefit local students for generations to come. We are deeply grateful to our generous community for passing Measure K, with nearly 60 percent in support of the measure, and we're excited to update you on our progress in the years to come!

A New Era Begins

Although large construction projects may take years to complete due to their complexity, Delta College is determined to act as quickly as possible in order to do the most good we can in the least amount of time. On Feb. 18, 2025, the Board of Trustees approved a series of initial priority projects.

South Campus at Mountain House

This long-awaited project will enhance Delta’s existing campus in rapidly growing Mountain House, replacing old portables with a permanent building that could provide a home for technology programs for in-demand careers in computer networking, cybersecurity and other fields.

What Measure K Means For You

What will it cost?

Measure K will cost homeowners on average $16 per $100,000 of assessed value. The average homeowner will pay $49 per year. All funds will be locally controlled and will benefit Delta College only.

What's the return on investment?

With an annual economic impact of $572 million per year, Delta College provides a valuable return on investment for taxpayers. For example, the College trains more than 400 healthcare workers each year to fill critical jobs such as registered nurses, emergency medical technicians, and more. Your tax dollars will help ensure that students who are training for in-demand, high-paying careers have the facilities they deserve.

Oversight and Accountability

A Citizens' Oversight Committee will monitor and review bond expenditures, to ensure the community’s tax dollars are being spent appropriately.

You can review Committee reports and attend a meeting or review agendas and minutes.

We thank Committee members for their service to the College and to taxpayers!

Supporting Local Workers

In Summer 2024, Delta College entered into a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) with local labor unions to promote career opportunities and job placement for Delta College graduates and local residents. We are committed to supporting the local construction workforce as we embark on these important Measure K projects.
