Improving the network at Delta College will require replacing older cabling in buildings that were constructed in the 1970s. The project will also install a network of antenna nodes to enhance wireless service coverage and improve cellular connection strength within buildings.

This project is already underway with the replacement of the College's aging network core in February 2026, paving the way for the work still to come.

We're excited to make these much-needed improvements to benefit students, employees, and community members!

The Board of Trustees identified the Information Technology Project as a priority for the first phase of Measure K implementation.

Next Steps

A Request for Qualifications will be issued, followed by a Request for Proposals with likely Board of Trustees approval in June 2026. Meanwhile, a series of meetings will be held to determine the best timelines for this project to minimize disruptions for students and employees. More information to come!
