About the Office
The San Joaquin Delta Community College District is governed by a Board of Trustees consisting of seven voting members, elected from trustee areas in general elections throughout the district, and a student representative, appointed by student government.
The Board exists under and derives its powers from the Constitution of the State of California and the acts of the State Legislature.
The Board of Trustees also derives its authority from the Education Code of the State of California.
The Board is subject to the provisions of the Constitution of the State of California, the Education Code, the Rules and Regulations of the Board of Governors (Title 5, California Administrative Code), its own policies and procedures, and the expressed will of the electorate.
Trustee Area Map
Delta College's service area includes portions of five counties, from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta to the Mother Lode, and is larger than the states of Rhode Island and Delaware. Here is a map of the District broken down by trustee area.
