What is Articulation?
Articulation refers to a formal agreement between two colleges or schools about how courses transfer. Specifically, course articulation means that a class (or sequence of classes) taken at one institution is officially recognized as comparable to a specific course requirement at another institution.
When a course is articulated, it assures both students and faculty that the student has completed the appropriate coursework, received the necessary preparation, and met the expected learning outcomes. This allows the student to move forward confidently into the next level of instruction at the receiving institution without needing to repeat content.
