In addition, the Gallery will be open for extended hours on October 29 (11am-8:30pm) for the Boo-Gay Ball, 5:30-8:30pm (held in Danner Hall). Exhibition and events are free & open to the public.

This is the second iteration of Queer Voices, an exhibition presenting work that explores LGBTQ+ culture, stories, narratives, and social constructs. The exhibition is an effort to bring greater awareness and understanding of LGBTQ+ and  intersecting identities. Works selected for exhibition are multidisciplinary and include a diverse representation of artists.

In addition, Delta College student artists who participated in the "LGBTQ+ Advocacy through the Arts" fine arts printmaking and advocacy project will be exhibiting their artwork. The project engaged a community of art students from the Delta College LGBTQ+ community and allies to participate in a series of three, fine art printmaking workshops instructed by artist-in-residence, Shanna Strauss. Free posters of the fine art prints will be available to Gallery visitors.

Through the workshops, student artists were provided space to learn and express their ideas of advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community, as well as articulate intersecting identities of race, ethnicity, gender expression, and sexual orientation. The close workshop setting and shared creative arts process of this diverse group of students developed long-lasting ally friendships to foster safety on Delta College campus through community building.
