About American Sign Language

American Sign Language (ASL) is more than just a language — it's a powerful way to connect and build community. At Delta College, our ASL program offers an immersive experience for students who want to learn to communicate fluently with and serve members of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

With an Associate Degree in Arts in ASL, you'll be on the pathway to a career as an interpreter or teacher of the Deaf. With a double major you may also qualify for bilingual pay in many workplaces, and the ability to communicate at a paraprofessional level. A certificate is also available.

You'll benefit from a flexible schedule of classes including mornings and evenings, and in-person, online, and hybrid.
