Find the Path: Dahani's Story
Just 17 years old, Dahani Ram hasn't even finished high school. And yet he's already taking Delta College classes. It was his experience at Delta and at Lodi Unified's Valley Robotics Academy that helped him get started and find his path toward a career in technology or computer science. "Who knows?" he says. "You might see me becoming the next Mark Zuckerberg."

Follow the Path: Joseph's Story
Joseph Flores was taking care of his son and was semi-homeless when he first came to Delta. His circumstances were humbling. But he soon learned that Delta offered many support services to help him along the way, such as tuition waivers, free bus service, and laptops, all of which allowed him to push forward and follow the path. "I call Delta the no-excuse college," he says. "Literally, there are no excuses... If you have a dream, this right here is where you can achieve it."

When Catalina Sandoval de Madrueno thought about going to college later in life, she figured she couldn't afford it. Then she found out about financial aid and other support services offered at Delta College. Now she's graduating from Delta's culinary arts program, having rediscovered her path. "If this grandma can do it, everyone can do it," she says. "Everyone."

When E.C. Gray-Peoples had her daughter, Zoё, she knew she had to go back to school. She didn't want to live paycheck to paycheck. Yes, college meant countless nights with too much homework and too little sleep, but E.C. needed look no further than Zoё to find her "why." She's now finished her degree in psychology. "This is all going to be worth it in the end," she says.
