“Love Letters to Dolores” Community Dialogue & Healing Town Hall
Event details
San Joaquin Delta College will host “Love Letters to Dolores: A Community Dialogue & Healing Town Hall” on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM in the Campesino Forum, with additional programming in the Dolores Huerta Plaza.
The event, hosted by the Chicanx/Latine Faculty (CLF) and Student Protection Advocacy Resources and Knowledge (SPARK), is part of Women’s History Month programming and is designed to create a trauma-informed, community-centered space for reflection, dialogue, and healing in response to recent testimonies and public conversations involving prominent figures in the farmworker movement.
This event will include:
- Grounding and community agreements
- Faculty-led historical context and community reflection
- Student-produced media
- Spoken word and artistic expression
- Facilitated dialogue
- A resource and healing space with support for mental health
Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in card-making and letter-writing activities in the Dolores Huerta Plaza.
We affirm that movements are collective, and we stand with survivors while holding space for honest, thoughtful dialogue.
“This event is about creating space for truth, for healing, and for community,” said event lead Adriana Brogger. “We recognize the complexity of history and leadership, and we are committed to centering survivors while affirming the collective contributions of our communities.”
