Biography
In 1994, Margaret was hired as ceramics instructor at the then called Academy of Art College, in San Francisco, and went on to become its School of Fine Art Sculpture Associate Director. She entered semi-retirement mode (one class per year) in 2022. During her time at the school, she designed and built the ceramics curriculum (onsite and online) and became well known for her figurative ceramic child /doll like sculptures surfaced to resemble disintegrating paint over weathered wood. Her latest work consists of medium sized (around 20 “) porcelain and mixed media female figures. These figures draw attention to the at -risk natural world and our need to pay attention to what is unfolding.
Margaret’s work is represented by the Gail Severn Gallery, Ketchum/Sun Valley, ID.

Her work is also showcased in “The Encyclopedia of Pottery Techniques” (Search Press, UK).
