Biography
I am a retired art teacher, having taught in Virginia and on military bases in Japan and Germany. My career began as the Artist in Residence for Norfolk City Public Schools, thanks to the National Endowment and the Virginia Commission for the arts and humanities. This was such a wonderful experience that the following year I chose teaching as my career. The students were so creative and enthusiastic. Having that experience of world travel gave me a wider breadth of many cultures and living conditions and connections with people I would otherwise never have known.
Artist Statement
“The Party” What kind of party is this? No one can even blow out the candles. Sadly, we are faced with a future that is no longer hold the promise it once had. Are all those sci-fi movies accurately predicting our future? What can we do now?
