Institutional Research and Effectiveness Office

The Institutional Research and Effectiveness (IRE) Office plays a pivotal role in supporting the College's mission, vision, and strategic goals through comprehensive planning and research activities. It provides timely and accurate data, documentation, and analyses to inform decision-making across the institution, ensuring transparency and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. IRE is responsible for coordinating institutional planning, research, accreditation processes, and program evaluations, as well as developing resources and training for faculty and staff. Additionally, the office handles mandated reporting to local, state, and federal agencies, contributing to the College's accountability and effectiveness.

Our Mission

The District's Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (IRE) supports the District's Mission, Vision, and Strategic Goals and Plans through a variety of planning activities, District-wide ongoing and ad hoc research projects, the development of resources and training for faculty and staff, and mandated reporting to local, state, and federal agencies.

Our Vision

The Institutional Research and Effectiveness (IRE) Office informs the District's decision making by providing timely, accurate data, documentation, and analyses. We aim to empower and encourage the College-wide community to utilize data resources to enhance student achievement and strive to promote the transparency of research results and planning processes.

The District's research function is guided by the standards of quality institutional research as outlined by the Research and Planning (RP) Group, the California Association of Institutional Research (CAIR), and the Association of Institutional Research (AIR).
