Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)/Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) Certificate of Achievement
The student successfully completing the Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)/Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) Certificate of Achievement will acquire skills to qualify for entry-level employment in several areas. Trades involved in the construction of buildings and bridges, utilize these skills as well as other industries such as motorsports/automotive design, robotics, industrial maintenance, and heavy equipment fabrication. The student will be proficient in the setup/maintenance of the required equipment for these processes, able to identify proper electrodes/shielding gases for joining a given material type and thickness, operate the required equipment in a safe and proper manner, display significant manipulatory skills in multiple weld positions and as well have sufficient understanding of proper layout and measuring procedures. In addition, the student will be able to describe and demonstrate important employability skills such as proper work ethic, team building, and interpersonal communication practices and their importance in the workplace.
Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) Certificate of Achievement
The student successfully completing the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) - Certificate of Achievement will acquire skills to qualify for entry-level employment in industries such as food processing, aerospace, pipefitting, motorsports/autobody, and others that require the joining of alloys with concern for cleanliness and integrity on thick-to-thin materials. The student will be proficient in the setup/maintenance of the required equipment for the GTAW process, able to identify proper electrodes/fillers/shielding gases for joining a given material type and thickness, operate the required equipment in a safe and efficient manner, display significant manipulatory skills in multiple weld positions and will possess sufficient understanding of proper layout and measuring procedures. In addition, the student will be able to describe and demonstrate important employability skills such as proper work ethic, team building, and interpersonal communication practices and their importance in the workplace.
Oxy-Fuel Processes and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) Certificate of Achievement
The student successfully completing the Oxy-Fuel Processes and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) Certificate of Achievement will acquire skills to qualify for entry-level employment in several areas. Various trades such as Steelworkers and Pipefitters utilize these skills as well as industrial/commercial maintenance, fabrication/repair facilities, and equipment manufacturing for industries including agriculture and transportation. The student will be proficient in the setup/maintenance of the required equipment for these processes, able to identify proper fillers/electrodes for joining a given material type and thickness, operate the required equipment in a safe and proper manner, display significant manipulatory skills in multiple weld positions and as well have sufficient understanding of proper layout and measuring procedures. In addition, the student will be able to describe and demonstrate important employability skills such as proper work ethic, team building, and interpersonal communication practices and their importance in the workplace.
Welding Technology Certificate of Achievement
Upon successful completion of the Welding certificate, the student demonstrates skills, knowledge, and training for employment in entry-level positions including industrial occupations in metal shops, all maintenance positions, sheet metal and metal fabrication shops, and many apprenticeship programs.
