About Speech Language Pathology Assistant

Helping others find their voice is more than a job. It is a meaningful way to change lives. At Delta College, our Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program prepares you to support children and adults with communication disorders in educational and healthcare settings.

With an SLPA associate degree, you'll be eligible for California licensure and national certification, putting you on the path to a stable, rewarding career.  Speech-language pathology assistants are in high demand across the Central Valley and Bay Area regions, especially in schools and clinics.

You'll gain hands-on experience in real-world environments, including the Delta College Child Development Center, local schools, and clinics. Your final semester includes a 15-week supervised internship.
