Physics is the study of matter, energy, and the interaction between them. In our introductory physics course, you'll explore topics in mechanics such as motion in one dimension and Newton’s laws of motion as well as thermal physics, waves, optics, and light.
Physics will give you a deep understanding of the fundamental laws of motion and how they can be used to describe the world around us.
General Education Requirements
In addition to an Associate Degree for Transfer in Physics, several of our classes fulfill general education requirements for an Associate in Science degree at Delta College.
