About Digital Media

Digital Media prepares students for 21st-century communication. Whether you're interested in becoming an on-air talent, a podcaster or working behind the scenes in development, production and distribution, you can explore it all in our Digital Media program.

KWDC is our fully functioning radio station that mirrors a professional radio station. KWDC exists as an experiential lab to prepare students for work in the broadcasting industry.

We also produce mini movies, documentaries and video communication as part of our video curriculum. Our students create content that is placed on our department YouTube page and occasionally submitted for air on our local Comcast station.

Digital Media courses develop a strong base of knowledge and skills that will serve as a foundation for further study. Certificates are designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in the broadcasting, podcasting, radio, television and related electronic media industries.  An Associate Degree is available to prepare students for Digital Media careers and transfer.

Successful program graduates have found employment working at local radio stations, television stations, film/cinema production companies, video/videography production services, and multimedia companies.
