Detail Orientated Finance Problem-solving PersuasionAdministrative Office Assistant I Certificate of Achievement
Upon successful completion of the Administrative Office Assistant I certificate, the student demonstrates skills, knowledge, and training for entry-level employment in office related professional positions similar to Office Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Office Professional, Clerical, or Receptionist. The student demonstrates his or her ability to perform a broad range of entry-level administrative office tasks, such as keyboarding and document processing skills, communicating effectively in oral and written business communication, managing filing systems, basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The student will also demonstrate proficiency in the use of office equipment and technology, such as web cameras, copy machines, and open source software applications. The certificate is level 1 of 4 in the Administrative Executive Professional/Office Manager career pathway.
Administrative Office Assistant II Certificate of Achievement
Upon successful completion of the Administrative Office Assistant II certificate, the student demonstrates intermediate skills, knowledge, and training for office support positions similar to: Administrative Executive Assistant, Executive Assistant, Administrative Office Professional, and Executive Office Assistant job titles. The student demonstrates his or her ability to perform a broad range of intermediate clerical and office support tasks requiring knowledge and skills involving some degree of independent judgement and business communication skills. The student will develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills for a business environment that build upon the Administrative Office Assistant I Certificate of Achievement training and skills. This certificate is level 2 of 4 in the Administrative Executive Professional/Office Manager Career Pathway.
Administrative Office Executive Certificate of Achievement
Upon successful completion of the Administrative Office Executive certificate, the student demonstrates intermediate to advanced skills, knowledge, and training for advanced levels of administrative office support occupations and entry-level first-line supervisor of office and administrative support occupations similar to: Executive Administrative Assistant, Administrative Coordinator, Administrative Office Professional, Administrative Service Manager, and Business Office Manager. The student demonstrates his or her ability to perform a broad range of intermediate to advanced administrative and entry-level management tasks requiring knowledge and skills involving an intermediate to high-level degree of independent judgement and business communication skills. The student will develop advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for a business environment. This certificate is level 3 of 4 in the Administrative Executive Professional/Office Manager career pathway.
Administrative Office Executive Professional/Office Manager, AS
Upon successful completion of the Administrative Executive Professional/Office Manager Associate in Science degree, the student demonstrates advanced skills, knowledge, and training for first-line and middle-management supervisory positions of administrative and office support occupations similar to: Administrative Office Manager, Administrative Office Professional, Administrative Service Manager, and Executive Business Office Manager. The student demonstrates his or her ability to perform a broad range of intermediate to advanced management tasks requiring knowledge and skills of a high-level degree of independent judgement and business communication skills. The student will develop advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for a business environment. This degree is level 4 of 4 in the Administrative Executive Professional/Office Manager career pathway. The Administrative Executive Professional/Office Manager Associate in Science degree meets the minimum unit requirements of general education coursework for students transferring to CSU.
Medical Office Assistant Certificate of Achievement
Upon successful completion of the Medical Office Assistant certificate, the student demonstrates the skills, knowledge and training for entry-level employment in medical front-office positions, such as a medical office bookkeeper, medical records file clerk, appointment clerk, insurance coordinator or billing clerk and medical office receptionist. Individuals are able to demonstrate knowledge of medical technology, bookkeeping and records management as well as the ability to work with patients effectively in scheduling appointments and collecting payments.
Municipal Clerk Certificate of Achievement
Upon successful completion of the Municipal Clerk certificate, the student will be prepared for careers as a City Clerk, support staff in the office of the city clerk, or other similar public administration positions. The duties of a Municipal Clerk requires knowledge of public relations, organizational behavior, management, public administration, legislative procedures, meeting preparation and keeping of official minutes, elections planning and procedures, processing of annexations and vacations, license and permit processing, projects and capital improvements approvals, contracts and deeds processing, and records management. This program provides training in all of these areas.
