| STEP 2 | Instructor student is referred to Area Dean. Student may be removed from class for up to two consecutive class periods. |

| STEP 3 | Area Dean is informed and completes a Student Conduct Incident Report Form |
| STEP 4 | Area Dean and Instructor are notified that the form is received, and a determination is made to open a case and begin investigation. |
| STEP 5 | Conduct Officer notifies Dean and Instructor(s) as well as Police Department if a suspension is warranted. Otherwise, final sanctions are confidential. |
Behavioral Intervention
- A student who is disrupting class (or another campus area) in a non‐threatening way is told to stop the behavior.
- If the behavior continues, they are shown the regulations privately and referred to the Area Dean which could result in removal from class for up to two consecutive class periods.
- A third instance of misbehavior results in a Conduct Incident Report Form filed to the Conduct Officer and a potential investigation and follow up with sanctions.

Threat Assessment
- A threat assessment is when police assess, investigate and manage an individual and/or the situation to reduce any potential threat that may be posed.
- When faculty or staff feel threatened, they have the option of calling campus police (209) 954‐5000 who will conduct a threat assessment.
- The officer will report the results to the faculty or staff who felt threatened within three class sessions.
