Angela Williams

Angela Williams is our new Resource Specialist in the Affirm, EPIC, and Puente Learning Communities.  She has been a Resource Specialist for the AFFIRM program at San Joaquin Delta College for the last seven years.  She received her AA degree in Liberal Arts/Early Childhood Education from Evergreen Valley College, in San Jose, CA.  Angela received her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts/Early Childhood Education from San Francisco State University, where she was born.

Angela describes herself as a true educator, and a believer in life long education. Her background is in Early Childhood Education, and for many years she worked as the Assistant Center Manager of the San Joaquin Delta College Child Development Center, now known as the Hazel Hill Child Development Center. During her years at the CDC, she not only had the opportunity to work with children, which is her passion, but she also had the opportunity to work with young adults, parents and student teachers. Working with students and adults at the CDC has given Angela the knowledge, skills, and the the passion to help others succeed. These same tools help her to work with the students she now serves in the AFFIRM Program.

Angela is excited to be a part of the Delta College Family because every day she will have the opportunity to work with not only wonderful coworkers but wonderful students as well.  She enjoys being a role model to students, helping them work out problems, encouraging them to go on, hearing their success stories, and seeing the growth that they achieve every semester.
