Certificate Requirements & Applications

General Information

Certificate applications are submitted at the beginning of the term during which the student expects to complete the certificate requirements. The deadlines for each term are as follows:

  • Summer: first Friday in July
  • Fall: first Friday in November
  • Spring: first Friday in April

The applications are available by clicking on the appropriate link below.

The Certificate(s) CANNOT be posted to the student's record until after the end of the term during which it was earned.  This usually occurs during the second or third week following the end of that term. It could take longer if the student took a class that ends beyond the end of the term, as all grades must be posted. It could also be delayed if the student has an "Incomplete" to clear or has submitted a grade change request.

The certificates are made available approximately two months after the end of the term. The approximate availability dates are as follows:

  • Summer: mid October
  • Fall: late February
  • Spring: late July

Students will receive a courtesy call when their certificate(s) is ready to be picked-up. The certificates are made available in the Admissions and Records lobby in Holt 101. A picture ID is required.

Certificates can be mailed IF the student provides the postage in US stamps. The current cost is eighty-three cents
($ .83) and is subject to change without notice. The stamps need to be delivered to the Evaluations Office. If mailed in, the students need to include a note stating that the loose stamps are for the mailing of their certificate along with their name and Social Security Number. If the mailing address has changed since the application was submitted, the students must include a photocopy of a picture ID and on this copy - write their new mailing address and sign their name.

Students who have previously earned a degree or certificate can order a reprint of that document. There is $10.00 processing fee for each reprint request. ALL holds must be cleared before the reprint can be released. Reprints take up to three weeks and are mailed to the student. To order a reprint of a degree or certificate, please download the Reprint Request Form, complete, enclose payment, and return to:
