Website Accessibility Standards

Web accessibility refers to the inclusive practice of removing barriers that prevent interaction with, or access to websites, by people with disabilities. When sites are correctly designed, developed and edited, all users have equal access to information and functionality. San Joaquin Delta College is committed to the dissemination of information in formats that reduce barriers to accessibility as part of our mission to provide equal access to high education to all members of our community.

Our web standards support the principle of "Universal Design"  and comply with policies and regulations governing the behavior of taxpayer-funded institutions related to the provisions of Section 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act as well as the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) developed by the W3C Consortium, W3C web accessibility guidelines.
