Call for Entries Guidelines and Requirements

First steps to prepare for entering the Student Art Exhibition

  1. Download the Call for Entries Guidelines below. 
  2. Read and follow the directions in the Guidelines before submitting entry to the Student Art Exhibition.
  3. Calendar the Important Dates found in the Guidelines.
  4. Prepare entry submission by following the Guidelines.

Directions to Submit Entry to the Student Art Exhibition

Upon completing the above steps to enter, (including preparing the word document application and digital images of artwork), follow the directions below and click "Submit Entry" to be directed to the SmarterEntry website to complete the FREE entry submission process as follows:

  1.  Create an account with SmarterEntry using student email only. (Applicants who registered an account with SmarterEntry in prior years should use the same username and password).
  2. Select Student Art Exhibition under "Available Competitions" from the SmarterEntry website.
  3. Under "Registered Competitions" for Student Art Exhibition, select "Submit New Entries" (note that entries may be reviewed and/or changed up until the application deadline).
  4. Upload word document Application under "Submit Documents" on the SmarterEntry website.
  5. Under "Submit Your Entries" on the SmarterEntry website, upload jpeg images of artwork and fill in web form "Artwork Title" and "Dimensions".

  • April 3, 1-4pm FREE Mat Cutting Workshop (optional)

  • April 10, 11:59pm Application Deadline submitted online at
    gallery.deltacollege.edu from March 1 – April 10, and no later than 11:59p.m. on April 10, 2024.
  • April 11-15 Artwork Selection Process
  • April 16 Artwork Selection Announcement (check email after 5pm)
  • April 18–19 Deliver Selected Artwork to Horton Art Gallery:
    Shima 144 (8am–5:30pm or by appointment)
  • May 2, 5–7pm Gallery Reception and Awards Ceremony
  • May 2 – 10 Gallery Exhibition
  • May 13–15 Pickup artwork (8am–5pm or by appointment)
