Pamela Sloan came to Stockton a little over eight years ago to become the Director of Parks and Recreation, later to be known as Community Services. Retiring in 2011, Pamela continues to be engaged in her profession as a member of the Board of Directors to the National Recreation and Park Association and a principal consultant on park and recreation trends and issues.
Pamela attended the University of Missouri for advanced degrees, earning a Master’s in Administration and Supervision of Physical Education/Athletics and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration in Higher Education.
Pamela has been involved in capital projects throughout her career in the planning process, construction and programming elements. Projects include (and not limited to) renovation and new community centers, public pools, tennis facilities, library master plans, park development, master planning, marina renovations and dog parks.
As a retiree, Pamela would like to give back to the Stockton community by using her skills and experience in capital projects though San Joaquin Delta College’s Measure L Citizen’s Oversight Committee. Her mission: Assist Delta College in achieving its goals and making a difference in Stockton.
