The LH Horton Art Gallery is a fine arts exhibition program within the
Visual Arts Department of San Joaquin Delta College, and a venue of
Delta Center for the Arts. The Gallery presents contemporary art
exhibitions and inter-related lectures and workshops to:
• Support Student Learning Outcomes in the visual arts curriculum.
• Build knowledge in the aesthetic, technical, cultural and historical context of the visual arts.
Gallery admission is free and open to the public. Further information can be found on the Art Gallery Web Page.
The Associate in Arts degree in Art will provide the student with a basic foundation in art principles and practices. Selected courses will include study in art history and studio practice in the creation of both two and three-dimensional works of art. The Art degree is designed for transfer to a four-year university or college, and for students who are interested in furthering skills in the visual arts.
