Why Choose Delta College?

  • Mission
Our mission is to prepare our student athletes for a successful academic and athletic transition to a four year school and into our community.

  • Tradition
In just 8 seasons, Coach Peters and his staff have built one of the most successful programs in California. The Mustangs won the State Championship in 2011, finished 2nd in 2015, 2014, and 2009, and made the Elite 8 in 2013. During that time there have been 15 drafted players, 38 Division 1 transfers, 28 Division 2 transfers and 28 NAIA transfers.

With the rennovation of Nick Cecchetti Field, the Mustangs now have one of the nicest facilities in California. The synthetic "FieldTurf" field allows the Mustangs to practice and play when other teams cannot.

Pat Kelly enters his 4th year at Delta and will once again help with the hitters. Pat's son Ty Kelly is a triple A prospect in the Seattle Mariners organization.
