Why Choose Mechanical Technology?
This course of instruction will provide the necessary knowledge and skills associated with lathes,milling, grinding machines, drillpresses, sawing machines, and other common machinery in the modern machine shop. The student will also learn how to use measuring tools and instruments. The students will use computers to gain the ability to write and execute programs associated with computer numerical control (CNC) lathes and milling machines.

Upon successful completion of the Machinist-Entry Level certificate, students will demonstrate skills, knowledge and training for entry-level positions in a variety of industries including machine shops, metal fabrication shops, tool and die shops, mold shops, industrial maintenance or millwright positions, and apprenticeships in these fields.
