Summer Financial Aid Summer Awarding Policy
In order to be considered for Summer Financial Aid you must have done the following (also see Summer Awarding Policy to the right.):

If you are not currently receiving financial aid at Delta College, you must:
  1. Complete a 2015-16 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). SJDC will receive your processed information electronically as long as you listed school code 001280.
  2. Complete your financial aid file with the SJDC Financial Aid Office. (This means that your FAFSA information must be received electronically and any other required documents/forms submitted to the Financial Aid Office.)

If you are currently receiving financial aid at Delta College, contact your specialist AFTER you have registered for summer courses.

The Federal Pell Grant is available during the summer. In order to receive aid a student must:
  1. Be in good academic standing. (You are not eligible if you are currently on Warning for semester(s) prior to the Spring semester). In addition, your Spring grades must be confirmed first prior to determining your eligibility for Summer aid. If the student becomes disqualified as a result of Spring progress the student cannot receive summer funding.
  2. You must have an unmet need.
  3. You must have remaining Pell eligibility for the 2015-16 school year.

The Federal Pell Grant Program has an annual limit on the amount a student can receive during an academic year. You will be notified of your eligibility.
