Career Fair and College Day Representation and/or Presentations

A San Joaquin Delta College representative will attend your school career fair or college day event. Our staff will provide materials highlighting San Joaquin Delta College programs and career-related information.

A college representative will attend your school's parent night program. College staff will make a brief presentation on programs and services available at San Joaquin Delta College and share materials to inform parents about the advantages of attending a community college.

(DSP&S) Assessment/Placement

Accommodated Assessment/Placement Testing for Students with Disabilities

A representative from DSP&S will arrange for students with disabilities to take the assessment/placement test under accommodated conditions. Historically, DSP&S has offered this accommodated testing service at one location within a Special Education Local Planning Agency (SELPA) for students who need test accommodations to maximize their success on the placement test.

Extended Opportunity Programs & Services (EOPS) Workshop Information

EOPS is a "student success partnership program" designed to provide educationally and economically disadvantaged students with the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary for college success. EOPS Information Workshops are designed to provide parents and students with information related to EOPS eligibility, application procedures, economic assistance programs, and student support services.

Financial Aid Workshop

Financial Aid Workshops are available to assist parents and students with the financial aid application process. Workshops address questions such as: "How do I fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid Application (FAFSA)?", "What is financial aid?", "How is my eligibility determined?" "What scholarships, grants and student loans are available?" and "How long does the process take?"

Planning for Student-Athletes

A San Joaquin Delta College counselor, with specialized training in intercollegiate athletics, will provide information to student-athletes regarding academic and career decisions critical to their athletic eligibility and transfer requirements to NCAA and NAIA four-year colleges and universities.

Student Activities/Student Life

A representative from the Student Activities Office will meet with your students and student activities advisor to provide information on the opportunities available through clubs, social interaction, networking on campus and in the community, political interaction, student government, college committee service, college ambassador service, and student organization participation. Such activities provide students the ability to apply classroom knowledge in an interactive social setting.

Transfer to Four-Year College/Universities

A representative from the San Joaquin Delta College Transfer Center will present information concerning transferring to four-year colleges and universities, including transfer admissions agreements with UC Davis, University of the Pacific, CSU Sacramento, and CSU Stanislaus.
