Member Chosen to Sit on State Committee:
On January 24, 2008, San Joaquin Delta College POA member Jim Bock was voted in by the P.O.S.T. Commission to sit in the Specialized Law Enforcement seat on the P.O.S.T. Advisory Committee. His recommendation to sit on the Advisory Committee was made and endorsed by P.O.R.A.C.
2007-2010 CONTRACT SIGNED!
On August 14, after several months of negotiations, the POA ratified its contract. On August 28, the Board of Trustees unaimously approved the new contract. Here is the over view:
For the Officers:

2.5% Intermediate / 5% Advanced
For the Dispatchers:
Creation of Dispatch II position
7.5% Increase for Dispatcher II
3% Swing Differential / 6% Graves Differential
For Both:
Established an equity study list, which will be used in future negotiations to establish median pay. The included agencies are:
