Mission Statement

The mission of the Academic Scholarship Council is to raise and distribute funds for the purpose of awarding scholarships to assist students in pursuing a college education.  Scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence and the relative merits of the applicant without regard to financial need and in accordance with the law, the Bylaws of the Delta College Foundation and the Academic Scholarship Council. 

About The Academic Scholarship Council

The Academic Scholarship Council of the Delta College Foundation has existed for over 30 years to support the academic pursuits of students at San Joaquin Delta College.  Each year, through a generous scholarship program, the Council awards scholarships to students attending Delta College as well as those planning to continue their studies as transfer students at baccalaureate-granting institutions.

About Your Donation

The Academic Scholarship Council relies on the generosity of its supporters.  Your tax-deductible donation enables the Council to continue to operate for the advancement of education and to provide future scholarships to academically achieving students.

• Cash Contributions – to honor persons designated by the donor
• Wills – specifying restricted bequests for specific educational purposes or unrestricted bequests
• Transfer of Investment Instruments or Property – which continues giving through earned income
• Trust Funds – to provide income administered by the Council
