EMPLOYEE EXPENSES AND MATERIALS8.1 Uniforms: The District will furnish each employee with $700 per year retroactive to the closing of the past contract, to be used for the purchase of uniforms. Employees will be provided their uniform allowance annually by July 10 of each year. The uniform allowance will be inflated each year by the revenue cost of living adjustment (COLA) provided the College each year in the state budget.
Safety vests: On the fifth year of employment, and every five (5) years after that date, each unit member shall receive a purchase order for a replacement safety vest approved by the Chief of Police.
8.2 Physical Examinations: The District agrees to provide the full cost of any medical examination required as a condition of employment or continuing employment.
8.3 Personal Property Reimbursement: Employees shall be reimbursed for personal property loss, except for normal wear and tear, to a maximum of $1,000 per incident incurred while performing duties, subject to review by the Chief of Police.
8.3.1 A full written report of each physical altercation resulting in personal property loss shall be submitted to the Chief of Police for his approval.
