I am located at the South Campus (Mountain House). Depending on the semester, I teach Core Biology (Biol 001), Human Biology (Biol 011), Human Anatomy (Biol 031), and Human Physiology (Biol 032). Before teaching full-time at Delta, I taught Anatomy and Physiology at American River College and General Biology at Modesto Junior College.
Students currently enrolled in my classes can find class materials and grades by logging into Etudes.
Academic Background: I received my M.A. and Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. My area of emphasis was vertebrate ecology. My B.A. is in English Literature. In addition to teaching, I also have worked on environmental impact statements, consulted with the USDA (on the development of the National Plant Germplasm System) and the EPA (on the pesticide registration/reregistration process), and assisted in field data collection on a Center for Disease Control study of Colorado tick fever.
The picture on the left is the summit of Long's Peak in Colorado (elevation: 14,257 ft.) taken in 2004, the fifth time I was there. You can see more pictures of this climb at http://www.iorg.com/longs-peak/
