Cultural Awarness Programs (CAPS) Committee



Commitee responsibilities:

Help to create an environment in which cultural awarness leads to the understanding and valuing of diverstiy at San Joaquin Delta College. Produce progrms in alignment with the goals of the SJDC Student Equity Plan, especially in relation to the campus climate. Collaborate with campus, local, and regional groups to plan, fund and, produce educational events and programs to meet identified needs. Seek funding for the CAPS programs and produce annual report of program outcomes.

The CAPS Committee shall be composed of: Minimum of five faculty members (three appointed by the Academic Senate and two by CTA); Supervisor of Student Activities; two classified staff (appointed by the CSEA); and two student representatives (appointed by the ASBG). It is expected that appointmentsto this committee will attempt to reflect the diversity of the college community.
