CHEMISTRY 1A
General Chemistry
Course Description:
- This course is designed to provide a technical and mathematical based university level introductory chemistry course for students majoring in chemistry, pre-medicine, pre-dentistry, pre-pharmacy and biology. This course requires a rigorous understanding of the fundamental principles of cheemistry and is intended for students with previous exposure to beginning chemistry. Lecture three hours, lab six hours.
Course Challenge:
- This course was designed to engage all students in the process of taking a rigorous science course. Therefore, it will be each students' responsibility to listen well and take consise notes while attending class. It is suggested that each student rewrite each lecture session and work all assigned problems. These suggestions are offered to assist my students in learning chemistry and to ensure that concepts are completely understood.
Sample Lecture Topics: (The list is not the lecture series in full)
- Matter and Measurement
- Atoms and Elements
