Several years ago students were always saying "There
is so much information in lecture, the lab manual, and the textbook,
how do I know what you want me to learn." Obviously, it
would not be possible to learn everything. This is how the flash
cards were conceived. I wrote these questions from the lectures,
lab manual, and textbook to cover the foundation material that
you need to know. Does this mean that you can get an "A"
in the course just by knowing flash cards? No, of course not.
What is does mean is that you can easily learn the core material
for the course to make certain you have mastered many of the
fundamentals of biology.
There are over 1,400 questions with answers which cover the
foundation material you need to know for each of the four examinations.

If you want to earn exam points
in advance of the exam all you have to do is learn the flash
cards on lecture topics already covered and be prepared to answer
questions in lab or lecture as time permits. When you answer
a question correctly you will be given a slip of paper that you
hand in with the next examination. These points are added directly
to your score. So, you can see these are very valuable
points and make it well worth your time to learn them. You can
still earn these points without the flash cards, they simply
make learning the basic material much simpler.
