This lecture begins the second kingdom of life in this lecture series, the Kingdom Protista. This kingdom includes the unicellular organisms that do not fit cleanly into any of the other kingdoms. It should be noted that not all taxonomists will place all protists in this kingdom. Until there is one universally accepted taxonomy this will continue to be a problem.
