MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

The special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the San Joaquin Delta Community College District was held on Monday, December 9, 2002, at 5:15 p.m. Public Meeting, in the Board Room, Administration 103, 5151 Pacific Ave., Stockton, California.

The Board meeting was called to order at 5:15 p.m. by Board President Greg McCreary.

Administration of Oath of Office to Elected Officials

Administration of Oath of Office to Elected Officials. Superior Court Judge James P. Darrah administered the Oath of Office to Janet Rivera, Maria Elena Serna and Ted Simas for their 2002-2006 term as Trustees. Judge Darrah congratulated Trustee Rivera, Serna and Simas for their excellent quality of service they have provided to the citizens and the students of the district and for their willingness to serve an additional term.

Board President McCreary thanked Judge Darrah for administering the oath to the elected trustees.

Consideration of Annual Organizational Meeting of the Board of Trustees:

Board President McCreary opened the nominations for the 2003 Board President. Trustee Burke moved and seconded by Trustee Rivera to nominate Trustee Parises as the 2003 Board President. Vote: 7/0; motion carried.
