You can send a general Counselor a quick question by using our online form.

Assessment/Placement (AP) Test

All new and nonexempt students are required to take a reading, English and mathematics assessment. The test is offered by appointment at least once a month at the Tracy Center. Please call (209) 833-7900 for more information. Students must provide a picture I.D. and proof of admission (copy of the "Confirmation and Signature" page) to be admitted to the test.

New Student Orientation

First time students are provided with a 1-1/2 hour mini orientation session following their assessment test. The counselor will explain the results and provide basic information on the registration and course planning process. All matriculated students ( those wanting priority registration credit) are expected to enroll in a full .5 unit ( 8 hour) orientation class.

All new students are encouraged to attend a new student orientation and to schedule an appointment to see a counselor later in the semester for career or long term educational planning.
