The person selected to lead the college would be expected to:

Create an internal organization with a common vision where a mutually understood, shared-governance process creates a culture of trust and respect;

Provide leadership with a pervasive spirit of caring and serving, blending all groups together to bring quality solutions to the needs of individuals and organizations in the District;

Deepen and widen collaborative efforts by ascertaining needs and developing programs, thereby creating seamless, life-long learning experiences leading to appropriate preparation for the world of work, higher education, cultural enrichment, appreciation of diversity, and the manifestation of exemplary citizenship;

Proactively lead San Joaquin Delta College to the center of community life by valuing and fostering receptivity and creativity in all endeavors which enhance individual dignity, economic self-reliance, and a stronger sense of community cohesiveness;

Preserve instructional integrity at the college with diminishing resources.
