The Nurse Assistant Training (NA) program prepares students with entry-level skills and knowledge to practice in the role of a certified nurse assistant in a variety of a long-term care setting. The course is designed to prepare students to successfully complete the state certification examination to become a Certified Nurse Assistant in the state of California. The program consists of one six to seven week course with both lecture and clinical components.
Employment opportunities are good both locally and in the state. Graduates are actively employed primarily by local long-term care facilities with starting salaries of $9.82 - 13.46 per hour.
