A native of France, Ms. Cottin-Rack moved to the US in 1998 after graduating from Paris Conservatory. She is a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) candidate at the College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio. She holds a Master of Music in violin performance from CCM. Ms. Cottin-Rack has performed in Europe and in North America. A consummate chamber music player, she has appeared as a recitalist and chamber musician at Banff Center for the Arts, Canada, the Aspen Music Festival in Colorado, Château de Champs sur Marne, France, Grand Festival d'Art Slave de Paris, Schlossweikersheim, Germany, Cincinnati Contemporary Music Festival. Ms. Cottin-Rack is also an active orchestral player. She is the associate concertmaster of the Stockton Symphony, and a member of the Napa Valley Symphony, Modesto Orchestra, and the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed with conductors such as Christopher Eschenbach, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Heinrich Schiff and James Conlon. In spring 2004, Ms. Cottin-Rack joined the faculty of the San Joaquin Delta College where she directs the Delta College String Ensemble as well as providing applied instruction in violin. She is a member of the College Music Society and the secretary of the American String Teacher Association in Stockton.
